According to Birmingham police, multiple shooters fired on a group of people just after 11 p.m. outside Hush, a hookah and cigar lounge on Magnolia Avenue.

Investigators suspect the shooting was targeted and not a random act. Multiple bystanders were caught in the crossfire, and police are working to identify the intended target.

A total of 22 people were shot. Among the 18 survivors, their injuries range from non-life-threatening to critical.

When police arrived, they found two men and a woman unresponsive with gunshot wounds. Additional victims were discovered, and three of them died at the scene, while another victim died later at the hospital. Currently, no arrests have been made.

At least four of the gunshot victims have life-threatening injuries. The rest have “various injuries,” police said.
