Delhi News: A 30-year-old man has been arrested for vulgar crime of recording his female tenant with spy camera in her bedroom and restroom, in east Delhi’s Shakarpur area.
The accused, Karan, is the landlord’s son, who lives on another floor of the same building where the girl lives. According to The Police, the woman recently noticed some unusual activity on her WhatsApp account and found an unknown laptop linked.
The woman became suspected and started searching her apartment for surveillance devices. Police told ” She found one camera installed in bulb holder of her restroom and informed Police by a PCR call. A sub-inspector reached at woman’s place and searched everywhere and found another camera in the bulb holder of her bedroom.
During interrogation, Police found that the woman left the keys to landlord’s son when she travelled and he told the Police that he purchased three spy cameras and installed one in her bedroom and one in her restroom.
After checking landlord’s son room, one spy camera and two laptops were seized. these cameras can’t be operated online and the footage is store in memory cards. So, Karan made too many efforts for keys so that he could transfer the recorded video to his laptop, but he faild.
Now faces a case of voyeurism under the Bharatiy Nyay Sanhita. Under this law, he may be jailed for at least a year.
