Rapper Travis Scott was arrested after an alleged altercation with a security guard and his own bodyguard at a luxury hotel in central Paris, French authorities confirmed on Friday.
“On August 9, 2024, police were called to the George V hotel and arrested Travis Scott for assaulting a security guard,” said the Paris prosecutor’s office.
The security guard had stepped in to separate the rapper from his bodyguard. The Paris public prosecutor’s office has referred the case to the 1st district of the judicial police,” the statement continued, without providing further details.
Travis Scott was caught drunk, say police sources
Police sources claim that Travis Scott was intoxicated during the incident. According to one source, the 33-year-old musician was under the influence of alcohol throughout the altercation.
“The suspect was drunk and involved in a fight with another man, possibly a hotel receptionist,” an official involved in the investigation told the Daily Mail. “He wasn’t in the right state to be questioned immediately, so he was placed in a cell to sober up.”
